Under the SOMOS concept, we made Nespresso's commitment to sustainability great, connecting with what is authentic in the only existing coffee plantation in Europe.

There, 50 families produce one of the most exceptional coffees in the world: the Arabica variety and within this variety, coffee of Ethiopian origin. They have been doing this for more than 200 years, preserving traditional cultivation. Since 1800, coffee has been picked by hand in spring, bean by grain. It is then dried for 20 days on African tables to maintain the aromas of the cherry seed. This is the main peculiarity of this coffee plantation, unique in Europe.
